When TablePlus makes more sense
Choose it when you want one client for SQLite and server databases, or already rely on its connection and query workflows. TablePlus also offers safety controls; deliberate editing is not exclusive to Petti.
When Petti may make more sense
Try Petti if your immediate need is opening a local SQLite file, looking through rows and returning to Finder. You can inspect for free, preview metadata with Quick Look, and only buy a license if you need writes. Petti does not connect to PostgreSQL or MySQL servers.
Pricing and updates
TablePlus publishes perpetual licenses with one year of updates, plus a limited free trial. Its pricing page gives current device limits, renewal terms and prices. A perpetual license is not the same as perpetual updates.

Choose by database scope
